This started out as a great idea for some plain undyed sock yarn.  I'd do it 1/2 Grape Kool-Aid and 1/2 Peach Mango Kool-Aid.  So, instead of doing the right thing, which I knew I had to do, I let myself talk to the dog about what I was going to do and so dumped the grape and the mango together into the dye water - instead of yarn first, grape on one side, mango on the other.  Ad somehow it is a mostly unattractive, unappealing brown with hints of brilliant orange.  That would be where the dye wasn't taking so I dumped the orange koolaid on top of those strands of yarn.  And did I mention the scent of grape-peach-mango-orange with just a hint of vinegar?  The Question IS what will happen if I attempt to overdye all with lots of Grape Koolaid?

I'd try for the Lots of Orange Koolaid.  But, frankly, it scares me.
3:35 a.m.  Poison Ivy is my curse of the week.  I know when I see leaves of three.  I spray with ivy killer, I cover the arms and legs, the feet, the back of the neck.  and still, one little drop of urushiol is enough to ruin my plans, my routines, my day-to-day life for weeks.  Going in to the third week of Poison Ivy rash and I just hate it.  Somewhere in that waist-high pile of pastoral plant life lies my doom.

My new (old) obsession is quilting. Thanks to three knitting girlfriends who got in to quilting, I've rediscoverd how much I love it.
